What is an oversized box?
If you're planning to send a large box with the USPS, you'll be charged the oversized price if your box is greater than 108 inches, but not more than 130 inches in combined length and girth. This is the largest box the USPS will ship and the weight cannot exceed 70lbs. If you are sending a box that weighs more than 70lbs or is greater than 130 inches in combined length and girth, you'll need to use a courier that offers specialist shipping services for large and heavy items.

So, you need to ship a large box. The good news is, there are several courier companies in the US that provide services for mailing large boxes. If you've read the previous section and realised your box is too big or heavy to send with the USPS, then don't worry, FedEx and UPS offer ground shipping services that will accept boxes with a weight of up to 150 lbs.
