The delivery had complications and was delayed by several weeks, but DHL did contact me and request additional information. I was able to call and talk to representatives and they were easy to work with

Added cost to recipient

I used DHL to send to Spain. Since it was a gift for a friend, I wish I would have know about added cost of importing the gift, so she would not have to pay for it. I definitely will stop sending mail to Spain from now on.
