Great Rates, Tracking data could improve

My local drop off location was convenient and departed promptly. My two parcels, sent one week apart, to the same address in Japan arrived on the same day. One parcel arriving one day late, and the other arriving 5 days early. Apparently FedEx Japan hands off the parcel to a local agent for delivery, which prevents the FedEx tracking numbers from working or displaying an accurate delivery date and time. If it was not for the message that I received from the recipient, I would still be wondering the status. The FedEx alerts that I signed up for are not working.

Absolutely superb. Parcel dropped off in Dallas TX on Saturday, FedEx estimate delivery the next Friday in the UK. They delivered 1pm on the Tuesday and only 1.5 working days after drop-off. All on a basic economy service, too.

FedEx worked as advertised, much more reliable than either the post or DHL where the stated estimates are unreliable, especially with services that combine post and DHL. A shipment may go by post to customs clearance and then to Germany via DHL and then go through multiple places in Germany before going to the destination country where it might be delivered by the post. Some shipments have taken months and there is no information available. I tried FedEx to see if the shipping can be done in a more efficient and predictable manner and it worked. I have blamed Parcel Monkey in the past for lack of good communication with their service providers, but if you choose this option, you are really working much more closely with FedEx rather than multiple services.
